Abstract submission:
Ph.D. students and postdoctoral fellows attending the Merck Organic Chemistry Symposium 2018 are cordially invited to participate actively in the meeting by submitting abstracts for poster presentations and oral communications. The template for submitting an abstract can be found here.
Poster size is A0, nominally 84 cm wide and 118 cm high, in portrait format (no landscape). A poster number will be assigned to each abstract and will be communicated to the presenting author. Poster presenters are responsible for setting up their poster prior to the first poster session and removing it after the second poster session.
Abstracts selected for oral communications will be allotted 20 to 30 minutes of presentation time (including questions), depending on the number of slots available. The exact schedule will be communicated to the presenting author. PowerPoint or pdf files should be uploaded on the conference computers (Mac and PC available) prior to the beginning of the session during which they will be presented.
Registration fee:
The registration fee for the Merck Organic Chemistry Symposium 2018 entitles participants to the following items:
– admission to the program sessions,
– access to the online version of the abstracts,
– a printed copy of the book of abstracts,
– a certificate of attendance,
– full board accommodation at Corsendonk Duinse Polders (Thursday: lunch, dinner and accommodation; Friday: breakfast and lunch),
– morning and afternoon coffee breaks.
Merck offers a reduced price for the first 200 academic registrations on the basis of a double room accommodation. Late registrations will be notified about either a refund or payment of the supplement.
